EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A project manager who has seen equipment from every side

Mechanical engineer. MBA. Started on a valve shop floor, inspected piping in one of the world's largest refineries, and spent 18 years on India's 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor PFBR.

For about 12 years have been running reactor-component projects from tender to commissioning: specifications, bidding evaluation,
order award, manufacturing surveillance, change orders, claims, liquidated damages, receipt at site, erection and commissioning. Subsequently involved in operating plant: mechanical maintenance of reactor shut down systems, special task as crew in-charge for loading reactor core, and change management in technical services section.

Have thus gained an understanding of the needs of the buyer, the problems of the manufacturer and the requirements of the plant for receipt of equipment. Now looking to apply this experience to project and contract roles in the energy sector in Germany.

CAREER PATH
Hands-On Depth, Project-Level Thinking

Plans rarely fail on paper; they fail in execution. Manufacturing insight, process optimization, people leadership and cross-functional coordination close that gap. Flexible in getting things done, adaptable to any team, and ready to bring that to German industry.

See where each of these strengths was built, role by role
2000 – 2003

Quality Control Engineer, valve manufacturing

Valve plant in Navi Mumbai supplying domestic and export customers, including the Middle East. Handled orders from receipt to dispatch and tested gate, globe, check, butterfly and safety relief valves to API 598 and ASME B16.34.

2003 – 2005

QC Engineer and Quality Management Consultant, refinery

Shutdown inspection, Reliance refinery jamnagar and pipe fabrication shop: isometric checks, fit-up and welding clearance, NDE and hydro testing. Qualified RT and UT Level 2 and Certified Welding Inspector.

2005 – about 2017

Project Engineer to Project Manager, reactor component procurement

BHAVINI, PFBR Kalpakkam. About 12 years owning first-of-a-kind reactor packages from tender to delivery, and one package, the PI Flask, through site receipt, unloading, erection, commissioning and demonstration.

Plant phase

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, conventional and safety systems

Custodian of the two reactor shutdown-system mechanisms and of nitrogen, argon, compressed air and shield-cooling systems; maintained and actuated valves.

Special task

Crew In Charge, loading of core subassemblies

Led a crew loading subassemblies into the reactor vessel and reached 37% loading efficiency against a 25% target.

Until Sep 2023

In charge, change management and documentation, Technical Services

Ran engineering change control and the documentation cell, followed up regulator inspections, and cut open plant deficiencies from 120 to 54.

2024 – 2026

MBA and German, Germany

MBA in General Management, SRH University, Berlin campus (April 2024 – October 2025). Intensive German at VHS Mönchengladbach with the DTZ B1 exam in September 2026.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

How I lead projects

Leadership style

I like to be where the problem is, whether that is at a supplier's works, next to a test bed or at the top of the reactor. I set clear goals, and every agreement gets written down with an owner and a date. I review performance openly with the people I work with, so everyone knows where they stand.

Methodology

I work in clear stages under nuclear quality rules: specification, tender, award, drawings, manufacture, factory test, site test and handover. Inside those stages I keep designers, the owner and the supplier working together as one task force, so problems get solved as they appear and the plan can adapt without losing control.

Industry experience

Over 23 years I have worked across:

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

What I bring to a project team

Ten skill areas, each backed by work on a nuclear reactor, in a refinery and in a valve plant. Open any area for the detail and the evidence.

Back to Skills Overview
Skill:

Project management and procurement

Owning first-of-a-kind reactor component packages across their full eleven-year delivery cycle: technical specification, global tendering, bid evaluation, manufacturing surveillance, receipt at site, erection and commissioning.

WHAT I DO
  • Translate nuclear design requirements into tight, auditable procurement packages and technical specifications.
  • Lead multi-round technical and commercial evaluations of domestic and international equipment manufacturers.
  • Oversee shop-floor manufacturing surveillance, stage clearance milestones, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and site integration.
  • Manage schedule recovery and interface disputes when custom tooling or machining encounters unforeseen tolerances.
HOW I RUN IT
  • Single Point of Contact (SPOC) ownership model tying commercial milestones directly to quality assurance hold points.
  • Integrated project schedules built in Primavera P6 with monthly rolling variance reviews.
  • Weekly technical triage between design authorities, QA inspectors, and fabrication managers.
